Tournament Postponement
- The 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup has been put on hold indefinitely.
- Original dates: August 3 to 10, 2025.
- Venue: Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad.
Venue Change
- Initially scheduled in Rajgir, Bihar, but later relocated to Hyderabad.
- Reason for change: Bihar withdrew from hosting responsibilities.
- Bihar had also hosted the inaugural edition in 2012.
Reasons for Postponement
- Delay in submission of administrative details by team contingents.
- Caused issues in getting necessary clearances from Ministries.
- Cited in a letter from Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) to the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF).
- No alterations to the list of participating countries will be allowed.
Future Plans
- New dates are expected to be announced soon.
- Tentatively, the tournament may take place in Hyderabad after the Pro Kabaddi League, which begins August 29 in Vizag.
