If we talk about Transgender athletes, there is no such Games specifically designed for Transgender athletes due to which transgender athletes are required to participate in above mentioned Games, wherein they face lots of challenges in terms of spanning social, medical, legal, and institutional areas. Key issues include:
- Discrimination and stigma from teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators
- Unclear and inconsistent eligibility policies across sports bodies and competitions
- Strict hormone-related regulations, often invasive and stressful
- Limited access to competitions, especially at grassroots and school levels
- Mental health challenges due to exclusion, scrutiny, and public debate
- Lack of inclusive infrastructure, such as appropriate changing rooms and facilities
- Frequent policy changes, creating uncertainty in athletic careers
- Media bias and misrepresentation, shifting focus from performance to identity
- Legal and administrative barriers linked to gender recognition laws
- Reduced career pathways, including fewer coaching, sponsorship, and leadership opportunities
Olympics Games for Transgender Athletes
In view of the above, it is important to introduce Olympics Games for Transgender athletes, it will help to promote sports among transgender community. Accordingly, the same may be introduced in Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and other series of Games also.
