Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets to get their IPL campaign underway on a strong note. The damage was done almost immediately after Rajasthan won the toss and invited Chennai to bat. The seam duo of Nandre Burger and Jofra Archer rattled the CSK top-order and Ravindra Jadeja compounded the woes with a double blow in the same over. Jamie Overton’s 43 off 36 took CSK to a respectable 127/10 in 19.4 overs. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his blitzkrieg and smashed 52 off 17 balls to set the tone in the paltry run-chase. Yashasvi Jaiswal returned unbeaten on 38(36) as Rajasthan wrapped the chase in 12.1 overs.
