‘Samvedna’ is social foundation and was founded in the month of September in year 2019 by Bhushita and Bhavik Ahuja who are currently 15 (year 2020) and 13 ( year 2020) years old respectively. They both are international chess players and have been playing for the past 8 years. While Bhushita has been State Champion, Bhavik has won bronze in Commonwealth for the country.
The brother-sister duo, deeply passionate about this game, started Samvedna foundation as a result, a feeling, a desire to serve the society by teaching chess to the underprivileged section. They want to inculcate a healthy sporting culture in the nation and take sports to every nook and cranny. Currently, they are teaching 300+ underprivileged kids online.
In order to fund their social projects, they organise tournaments and other events wherein they use the profits made via entry fees to offer opportunities to the well-deserving kids. Their official tournament, held in December 2019 in collaboration with the Delhi Chess Association was a huge success with over 250 participants. The sports minister of the country, Shri Kiren Rijiju as well as the world renowned sports icon Shri Gautam Gambhir endorses the event with their presence.
Even during Corona, the work continues and Bhushita and Bhavik have been able to conduct 8 online tournaments, an Inspire Talk by GM Prithu Gupta and a summer boot camp for kids.
Their dream is to ignite the fire of chess in others and they have constantly been working towards achieving this goal. They have been featured by Sportskeeda, Chess Base India and several other media platforms. They have been interviewed by Vilasins Sports Media too. They hope to reach out to many more individuals in future and create even bigger positive impacts in the society.

“सामवेदना” सामाजिक आधार है और इसकी स्थापना वर्ष 2019 में सितंबर के महीने में भूशिता और भाविक आहूजा द्वारा की गई थी जो वर्तमान में 15 (वर्ष 2020) और 13 (वर्ष 2020) वर्ष के हैं। वे दोनों अंतरराष्ट्रीय शतरंज खिलाड़ी हैं और पिछले 8 वर्षों से शतरंज खेल रहे हैं। जहां भुशिता स्टेट चैंपियन रही हैं, वहीं भावि ने देश के लिए कॉमनवेल्थ में कांस्य जीता है।
भाई-बहन इस खेल के बारे में भावुक हैं, उन्होंने दलित वर्गों को शतरंज सिखाकर समाज की सेवा करने के लिए सामवेद की नींव शुरू की। वे राष्ट्र में एक स्वस्थ खेल संस्कृति को विकसित करना चाहते हैं और खेल को हर नुक्कड़ पर ले जाना चाहते हैं। वर्तमान में, वे 300 से अधिक बच्चों को ऑनलाइन सिखा रहे हैं।
अपनी सामाजिक परियोजनाओं को निधि देने के लिए, वे टूर्नामेंट और अन्य कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन करते हैं जिसमें वे प्रवेश शुल्क के माध्यम से किए गए मुनाफे का उपयोग अच्छी तरह से योग्य बच्चों को अवसर प्रदान करने के लिए करते हैं। उनका आधिकारिक टूर्नामेंट दिसंबर 2019 में दिल्ली शतरंज संघ के सहयोग से आयोजित किया गया था, जो 250 से अधिक प्रतिभागियों के साथ सफल रहा था I देश के खेल मंत्री, श्री किरेन रिजिजू के साथ-साथ विश्व प्रसिद्ध खेल आइकन श्री गौतम गंभीर अपनी उपस्थिति के साथ इस आयोजन का समर्थन करते हैं।
कोरोना के दौरान भी, उनका काम जारी है और भूशिता और भाविक 8 ऑनलाइन टूर्नामेंट, जीएम पृथ्वी गुप्ता द्वारा एक इंस्पायर टॉक और बच्चों के लिए एक ग्रीष्मकालीन बूट शिविर का संचालन करने में सक्षम हैं।
उनका सपना दूसरों में शतरंज की आग को प्रज्वलित करना है और वे लगातार इस लक्ष्य को हासिल करने की दिशा में काम कर रहे हैं। उन्हें स्पोर्ट्सकीड़ा, शतरंज बेस इंडिया और कई अन्य मीडिया प्लेटफार्मों द्वारा चित्रित किया गया है। विलासिन स्पोर्ट्स मीडिया द्वारा भी उनका साक्षात्कार लिया गया है। वे भविष्य में कई और व्यक्तियों तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद करते हैं और समाज में और भी बड़े सकारात्मक प्रभाव पैदा करना चाहते हैं।
माननीय खेल मंत्री श्री किरेन रिजिजू ने नई दिल्ली के बरगद ट्री स्कूल में आयोजित “1 DCA SAMVEDNA CHESS TOURNAMENT-2019” के बारे में ट्वीट किया था।
