India shooter  Sh. Prithviraj Tondaiman bagged the bronze medal in the men’s trap event at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup Lonato 2023 in Italy on 16 July 2023

• Prithviraj Tondaiman’s bronze was India’s only medal at the Lonato shooting meet.
• This was his second individual ISSF World Cup  medal, having won a bronze in Doha in March 2023

Athletics

India’s Javelin Thrower Sh. Ajeet Singh, on July 16, 2023, won a gold medal in the finals of the Men’s javelin throw F46 in the World Para Athletics Championships 2023 in Paris

• He pulled out a throw of 65.41 and finished on top of the tree. 
• He broke the championship record, which was earlier held by Chunliang Guo with a throw of 61.89.

India’s Javelin thrower Rinku won the silver medal with a best throw of 65.38. 

Abha Khatua won Silver Medal in Women’s Shotput Final with a Personal Best of 18.06m

Manpreet Kaur won  Bronze in the Women’s Shotput Final after registering a best throw of 17m, also her season best.

Manu DP produced a best throw of 81.01m  won silver in Men’s Javelin Throw Final Event.

Gulveer Singh  won bronze Medal in Men’s 5000m Final Event and clocked a time of 13:48.33

Jyothi Yarraji won Silver medal , giving her personal best of 22.13s in Women’s 200m Final Event. This was also her 2^nd medal of the Asian Championships

In Woman’s 4x400m Relay Final, the team of Rezoana, Aishwarya, Jyothika & Subha gave the season’s best performance of 3:33.73 to won the bronze medal

The Men’s team comprising of Amoj Jacob, Muhammad Ajmal, Mijo Kurian, Ramesh Rajesh won silver in Men’s 4x400m Relay with a timing of 3:01.80 min
