Sh. Anurag Thakur was appointed as the new Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. He said, “I am thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah for giving me this chance. All possible efforts will be made to fulfill the duties”. Today (7 July 2021) he took oath as one of the cabinet ministers and given charge of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports along with the Ministry of Information & broadcasting.
